fyuactually:
I remember once I was driving home, or well to somewhere (I don’t really recall), while holding hands with my boyfriend at that time. We were stuck in some minor traffic, but it was slow enough that if you wanted to, you could take the time to observe your surroundings and check out the cars around you. A bunch of stocky guys all with buzz cuts and sunglasses in a truck had noticed us, and they were just looking the whole time. They were obviously making jokes and laughing at us, having no problem pointing us out and flicking us off. I could make out them saying, “Fags,” as they’d drive away, only for it to start again when my car would catch up.
Needless to say, it’s kind of shitty to be treated differently for shit like that. Those guys were obviously assholes, but dealing with that kind of shit is extra, and more than unnecessary, it’s painful. I’m not afraid to show off the person I love, I shouldn’t have to be. It would just be nice if I could do it without the looks and the extra attention. Bitches.
